Participate on a team of interdisciplinary scientists and engineers to develop and implement research projects associated with marine and aquatic systems.
Perform research with an emphasis on projects that support the development of renewable ocean energy and uses of marine energy outside of grid applications; quantifying processes and conditions within marine and coastal ecosystems; and evaluation of technologies to monitor engineered system performance within a marine environment and associated effects on environmental conditions.
Build networks at a local and capability level.
Contribute to proposals that lead to opportunities for new work.
Mentor junior staff and students.
- BS/BA with 2 years of experience, MS/MA with 0 years of experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience
MS or PhD degree in a marine, engineering (mechanical, civil, or environmental), or related field
Background in marine energy or other research of the marine environment
Experience in marine energy device testing or deployment
Experience in environmental monitoring and data analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
