As an indispensable partner in delivering safe, compliant and efficient outcomes in support of Laboratory operations, science, research and technology, the Training Support Manager is responsible for planning and managing the Laboratory's qualifications and compliance training deployment. The Training Support Manager oversees the daily operation and management of instructional designers, adjunct training staff, and training coordinators. The Training Support Manager is responsible for providing input and regular monitoring of the training budget, including budget and rate planning. The incumbent is expected to provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers and engage multiple stakeholders and system owners to develop efficient learning models that align system and business processes and incorporate best practice. The Training Support Manager oversees the planning and development of technical training programs, for all levels of employees that are designed to promote knowledge of and compliance with qualifications, environmental health and safety issues, and requirements. Programs include support of training activities, and classroom and web-based instruction such as new employee safety, employee certification/recertification, hazardous materials communication, and other programs as needed. Responsible for coordinating programs of instruction for management, supervisory, professional, and technical employees.

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Leadership and management experience that includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing processes, and leading staff.
Ability to support a wide-range of issues relevant to training, process improvement, teaming and technical process issues related to the implementation of the Laboratory's training model
Experience instructing or developing nuclear, radiation protection, safeguards and security or worker safety and health courses
Experience with nuclear training programs
Project Management experience
Experience with portable training platforms and other non-traditional learning event deployment
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience deploying a successful customer service model
