Job Description

  • Conducts research and development activities including standard technical procedures that range from routine to specialized, under technical supervision. Operates in laboratory workspaces equipped with fume hoods, glove boxes, irradiators and with specialized instrumentation in order to conduct research.

  • Conducts radiological instrument calibrations utilizing radiological sources and irradiators

  • Prepares dosimetry for proficiency testing in irradiators

  • Operates irradiators to support radiation research activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Level 2 High school diploma and 2+ years of relevant work experience or Technical Institute Graduate/relevant Associate’s degree and 1+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Level 3 High school diploma and 4+ years of relevant work experience or Technical Institute Graduate/relevant Associate’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Radiological instrumentation function and calibration experience

  • Radiological worker experience

  • Laboratory experience

  • Basic nuclear physics knowledge
