They focus on meaningful work, innovation, and outcomes. We are seeking a Technical Operations and Assurance Specialist to contribute to PNNL’s operational business systems implementation team.
Lead technical expert on multiple facility and infrastructure business systems, translating business requirements into functional requirements, leading change management for system changes and upgrades, maintaining business system performance, and implementing high-quality configuration management principles.
Responsible for establishing system and engineering best practices
Analyzes system data routinely to identify and recommend improvements; ensures issues and system failures are investigated, and solutions quickly applied to minimize operational downtime.
Performs assessments validating requirements are deployed and systems are effectively performing.
Provide leadership over the Maximo platform relating to operational business processes, prioritizing system changes and improvements, tracking issues and driving timely resolution in support of research and operational staff.
Expertise in Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools, Autodesk Vault, website design and content management.
Manages system permissions, knowledge and configuration management, training and coaching of users and customer support.
Works on complex problems relating to multiple system platforms, integrations and provides solutions that are innovative to improve the efficiency of the management and operations.
Coordinate with M&O Program Managers, line management and process owners to resolve major issues and concerns relevant to system performance and management requirements.
Analyze, interpret and disseminate system performance data and requirements analysis.
Prepares support documentation and training materials for end users of systems (i.e., Autodesk Vault, the document management system).
Responsible for establishing technical strategies and priorities for system maintenance and operational performance.
Manages projects involving diverse tasks, teams, and organizations. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria obtaining results. Demonstrates command for addressing technical challenges, proficiency in industry-leading technology.
Demonstrate effectiveness in risk management, conflict resolution and possesses the ability to generate project/program team commitment and engagement in face of changing and conflicting priorities.
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
Advanced degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
A minimum of 14 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree
Professional license and/or certification may be preferred
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
Advanced degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
A minimum of 18 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree
Professional license and/or certification may be preferred.
Experience with technical systems and requirements
Recognized and proven track record leadership in Maximo, Autodesk Vault, Office365 and Power Platform tools.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing strong stakeholder/customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and work well with strong personalities at all levels of the organization – from peers to Director level.
Working knowledge of project management principles including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to customer and DOE challenges, drawing on the full resources available.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Maximo, Autodesk Vault, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform suite.
