Job Description
This position will support the analysis of emerging smart grid technologies and microgrids at the distribution level. The specific focus will be in the integration and operation of resiliency based microgrids and how they engage as part of distributed and hierarchical control systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be degree-seeking students enrolled at an accredited college or university. Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.5.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in electric power systems and microgrids
Familiarity with MATLAB
Desired: any additional coding skills
Desired: connection with the WSU/PNNL Advanced Grid Institute (AGI)
An undergraduate in Electrical Engineering, with an interest in electric power system
3.5 GPA or higher is preferred
