Job Description

The Chemical Biology and Exposure Science Team within the Biological Sciences Division at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking a senior research scientist to contribute to emerging research programs in human exposure and precision medicine. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in genetics, toxicology, chemistry, biological engineering, or related field with 5 years of post-graduate experience in human genetics (emphasis on disease, toxicity or exposure susceptibility) or exposomics. Ideal candidates have experience in the use of deep sequencing, proteomics and metabolomics data to identify genetic mechanisms of susceptibility to chemical, physical and social exposures or expertise in the use of similar tools to assess exposures and responses in human populations. While competency in modern data analytics tools are important, experience in the design and conduct of human studies is preferred.
