Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst to enhance the performance of our Human Resources (HR) technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of our HR systems, gathering and reporting data, enhancing reporting content, making recommendations based on performance metrics, and supporting of workforce analytics. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity. You will also be required to assist in the designing of the HRIS processes and maintenance of current systems.

Outstanding Analysts combine their HR knowledge with expertise in technology to ensure optimal HR management and provides employee metrics which will be used by the senior leadership.

Discipline, principal job duties/expectations, and qualitative and quantitative measures of performance that exceed the Functional Descriptor:

  • Maintain and assist with implementation of specially designed human resources information systems and related policies and procedures designed to obtain, record, and process employee information.

  • Participate in multiple and simultaneous projects dealing with the functional administration of the HRIS application.

  • Facilitate meetings to align HRIS capabilities with business requirements and collaboratively create architecture content.

  • Produce business process models and technical work products that aid in the development of system solutions

  • Consult with HR peers and other business partners to determine HRIS needs.

  • Documenting processes, identifying HR concerns, and compiling data analysis reports.

  • Leading application upgrades, as well as and providing training and technical support.

  • Developing and implementing new processes and systems for efficient HR management.

  • Optimizing HRIS processes and integrating new software.

  • Ensuring the consistent reporting of HR metrics.

  • Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS.

  • Develop custom reports and interpret data to meet customer needs and supporting of workforce analytics.

  • Provide mentoring and foster collaboration through user training, coaching, troubleshooting.

  • Responsible for maintaining the HR system access under the approval of the HRIS manager.

  • Supports relationships with software and hardware vendors and ensure the development of proper training and documentation for system use and maintenance.

  • Analyze HR and cross-departmental/divisional business and system processes and recommend improvements to meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex problems and provide innovative solutions.

  • Experience with delivering workforce analytics to senior leadership using industry standards driving consistency in delivery and interpretation.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the integration of HR systems to other systems in addition to possessing technical knowledge of HR business processes.

  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and data structures, PeopleSoft or iCIMS a plus.

  • Working knowledge of HRIS policies, practices and procedures including legal requirements.

  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Visio, Atlassian Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to validate data.

  • Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.

  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.

  • Extensive experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.

  • Advanced proficiency in database management and security, as well as running SQL queries.

  • Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests.

  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS Analysis.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
