Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Post Masters Research associate to work on data processing and software development for cutting edge mass spectrometry and ion mobility technologies. This position offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary team of experts in multi-omics research. This position involves evaluating algorithms for data processing, developing new ones, and integrating multiple algorithms to develop data processing pipeline. The candidate will learn about multi-omics (e.g. proteomics and metabolomics) software tools and perform downstream data analysis that involves parsing the data in the omics-specific format, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling and machine learning. The candidate must be reliable and capable of working with a large and diverse group of people. More details about the proteomics group in general can be learned at the web site:

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have received a Master’s degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 required.

Preferred Qualifications

A degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics, data science, or related discipline. Strong computer skills. Solid background in any of R, C#, Python programming languages. Background in Computer Science is preferred. Working with mass spectrometry data is desired but not required. Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills. Good teamwork skills and the ability to work and communicate with a large and diverse group of staff are critical.

Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
