Job Description

The Exposure Science and Pathogen Biology Group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow with experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Data Science. The candidate will study interactions between the immune system and pathogen molecules. The ideal candidate will have an experimental background in biological mass spectrometry, protein purification, and protein detection. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and graphing (using R studio) and figure generation. The candidate will work closely with the project manager and will function as a key conduit between collaborating investigators on projects. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential. Must want to write and prepare manuscripts for publication.

This is a full-time limited term employment position. The duration of this appointment is two years with the option of extending the appointment, depending on project funding and individual performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must have received a PhD fields of microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or analytical chemistry.
