We are seeking an outstanding scientist to join our multi-disciplinary team for energy storage research to investigate cutting edge technologies in the advanced lithium metal and lithium ion batteries. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be the synthesis and scale-up of novel high-energy cathode materials, development of novel coating materials and processes for air-sensitive cathode materials, development of advanced electrolytes to enable stable cycling of high-voltage lithium metal and lithium ion batteries, characterization of their electrochemical and morphological properties, and investigation of the electrode/electrolyte interphases. The candidate will also prepare manuscripts for publication, present the research work internally and externally at national/international conferences, and develop new ideas for the funded research.
Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university.
We are seeking an outstanding scientist to join our team. The candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or other related fields within the past five years from an accredited college or university and have experience in one or more of the following areas: strong background and knowledge in fundamental materials synthesis for advanced cathode materials for battery applications; knowledge and experience with development of non-aqueous electrolytes; extensive knowledge and hands-on skills in material synthesis and scale-up, battery assembly and testing. Prior experience with coating on surfaces of materials and electrodes is preferred.
Demonstrated record of publishing in first class journals and an ability to collaborate effectively on a teaming environment are required. Must be safety orientated.
