Job Description

The proteomics group at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking highly motivated candidates for a Post Bachelor position supporting R&D efforts for building novel mass spectrometry instrumentation and sample preparation for small scale proteomics. The successful candidate will be involved in design and fabrication of instrument parts, and modifying scientific instruments for multi-omics applications at EMSL.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 required.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have basic knowledge or working experience of analytical instrumentation, programming, CAD, 3D printing, and mechanical engineering. Previous experience in mass spectrometry, microfluidics, and bioinformatics is preferable. Experience with mass spectrometry based multi-omics is preferable but not required.

Degree in mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry or related fields.

Preferred GPA minimum: 3.0 or above
