The Electricity Infrastructure Group is looking for a university bachelor’s degree candidate to develop software for power system analysis and modeling. The successful candidate will work with a group of power system engineers and software engineers to develop tools that improve power system stability, aid grid protection and coordination, analyze contingency / reliability, etc.
Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the past 24 months or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university. Minimum overall GPA of 2.5 required.
Bachelor's in computer science or related field.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients.
The ability to work effectively independently and in project teams.
Writing well-designed and tested software that meets requirements
Thinking independently to solve difficult technical challenges with minimal oversight
Team player who works well with others to help everyone be successful
Constantly learning new technologies that will better meet the needs of our project stakeholders
Ability to manage time while balancing priorities from multiple projects concurrently
Must have …
Experience with at least one of the following database systems: PostgreSQL (preferred), DynamoDB MySQL, MongoDB
Experience with the UNIX/Linux environment
Experience with .NET framework, WPF, C#, VB.net, Python, MATLAB etc.
Experience with source control
Basic understanding on power system and electric engineering
