Job Description

For more than 50 years, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has advanced the frontiers of science and engineering in the service of our nation and the world in the areas of energy, the environment and national security.

The Electricity Infrastructure Group is looking for a university intern to help develop signal processing algorithms for application to synchronized power system measurements. Developed methods will be tested with simulated and measured datasets. Successful methods will be integrated into software tools for deployment to industry.

Must have completed electrical engineering coursework. Programming experience in Matlab is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled/matriculated in a PhD program at an accredited college. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Preferred Qualifications

A power systems background, familiarity with synchronized measurement applications, experience with signal processing, and general knowledge of power system dynamics is preferred.
