Responsible for BSD Performance Management, planning, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific performance management projects ensuring consistency within the BSD Directorate. This includes the coordinating of BSD and other directorates, and third-party resources in order to deliver performance management projects plan and execute performance actions.
Possesses a fundamental knowledge and understanding of performance management (Plan, Do, Check, ACT/Adjust) and core project management principles
Partner with BSD’s leadership team, line managers, and M&O Program Managers (Management System) to assist them in articulating their business strategies, short-and long-term opportunities, and desired improvements. This includes the development of performance management plans.
Assist with the Planning and development of the BSD training program and delivery of training across BSD
Assist with the execution of BSD’s top priorities based upon ongoing planning, changing requirements and efficient/effective delivery of services.
Assist with observing and measure the work performed in BSD, execution of critical assessments and analyze data (requirements, performance measures, benchmarks, etc.) to comprehensively understand and communicate our performance and the satisfaction of our customers, sponsors, and stakeholders. Guides and informs management processes so as to reduce risk and to improve compliance.
Based upon Check, identify risk, identify correct issues, improve performance, share experience and lessons learned, improve the process, and continue to mature through the performance management framework.
Communicates current performance and critical issues in a timely and effective manner to team, stakeholders and senior staff based upon key reporting dates established by PNNL’s Performance Management Team.
Strong leadership and management skills and experience delivering consistent, high quality services in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Demonstrated experience building, leading, and delivering effective team and individual performance. Experience recruiting, developing and coaching managers and staff with the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform in a high performance organization.
Formulating innovative approaches or ideas for problem resolution.
Ability to have project plan development and adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and performance.
Independently managing deliverables and tasks within the BSD Directorate.
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; OR, a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
Typical related management experience should include initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field.
Related Certification, such as: CPA, CMA, CGFM, COSO, CIA, CFA.
