Job Description

  • Responsible and accountable for providing leadership of F&O’s bargaining unit relationship and serving as the primary contact with the PNNL Labor Relations Manager

  • Support to line management in the effective and consistent implementation of the Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) contract with Battelle/PNNL.

  • Develops and implements processes and assurances associated with the implementation of contract-related processes, including the management, response, and resolution of grievances.

  • Functions as the primary F&O interface with HAMTC chief stewards.

  • Works with the PNNL Labor Relations Manager to develop and implement effective short-term and long-term labor strategies.

  • Capability to function as a line manager of PNNL facility operations and maintenance teams and willingness and ability for advancement to leadership of F&O operating divisions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or other related discipline plus 8+ years of relevant experience; OR, a Master's degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience. Typical related management experience should include, initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DOE operating and reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully working on a diverse set of issues where analysis of situations or data requires knowledge of the organization and industry trends.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with staff at all levels within the organization.

  • Proven ability to translate strategy into implementable actions.
