Weekly Salary: $1,586.39
Fully qualified individual capable of making all types of repairs. Perform layout, fabrication, assemble and install machinery and equipment. Test, diagnose, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment. Operate power-driven tools, such as drill presses, hack saws, and related types of equipment. Work to close tolerances. Direct others.
Fully qualified journeyman with 4 years’ experience at the journeyman level or equivalent work experience.
A High School education or equivalent.
Ability to qualify as a full journeyman with the appropriate union affiliated with HAMTC. This must be reflected in the resume submitted.
Must be able to effectively utilize all tools, materials, and equipment common to the trade.
Must have a valid state-issued driver's license.
Experience in pump rebuild and fan maintenance preferred.
Graduate of a 4-year formal apprentice program.
Skilled in utilizing electronic work request systems/tracking for tablets or Smartphones.

Special/Hazardous Working Conditions or Environment:
Position may be subjected to working around radiation, chemicals, asbestos, lasers, carcinogens and other material in a laboratory environment.
Job assignments may involve working near hazardous materials such as nuclear, fissionable, and dangerous waste.
Position will be required to work in outdoor environments on a year-round basis.
This is a bargaining unit position and will be under the BATTELLE/HAMTC Labor contract. As a condition of Employment, the staff member will be required to join the appropriate union affiliated with the Hanford Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) after 30 days of continuous service and pay union dues or pay agency dues to such union in lieu of joining unless otherwise exempted. Employment guidelines for bargaining unit staff will be in accordance with existing Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.
