Synthesis electrolyte or additives for sodium-ion batteries.
Assemble coin cells and test cells under a variety of conditions.
Materials and cell level postmortem analysis.
Responsible for timely milestone deliverable.
Assist in preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual reports for the on-going programs.
Maintain safe laboratory operations and train junior personnel.
BS/BA with 2 years of experience
MS/MA with 0-2 years of experience
PhD with 0 years of experience
Advanced degree in Materials Science or chemical engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy storage/conversion materials.
PhD with 5 years of experience with electrolyte synthesis and evaluation in the field of battery research.
Hands-on experiences in materials synthesis and characterization, electrode preparation and cell fabrication.
Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal interaction with scientists, managers, and support personnel.
Ability to write papers for peer-reviewed journals and make presentations at conferences and review meetings.
Experience working at PNNL or other national laboratories is plus.
