Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking ambitious, high-caliber junior or senior high school students for intern assignment within the High School Student Research Intern (HS SRI) Program. This internship provides an opportunity for students interested in preparing for careers in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM - or Computer Science) to work during the academic year with a scientist/mentor in a specified research area. Students attend regular classes in their school for one-half day.
Development of a web application for users to explore, visualize, and perform statistics and data integration on mass spectrometry (MS) data. The focus of development is on statistical and biological methods of data integration and interpretation. The front-end web application user interface for data from a variety of application spaces including, but not limited to, human-health, soil science and aquatic science.

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in a public or private high school.
Applicants must be 16 years of age by August 2020.
Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (from beginning of 9th grade to current standing).
