The Fleet Specialist is responsible for administering Fleet Program Requirements for more than 360 vehicles. The position ensures compliance with DOE regulatory requirements and for the budget associated with the Fleet Management Service Center. Will be the primary point of contact with the DOE on Fleet Management issues.
Key point of contact and subject matter expert on Fleet Management and will be responsible for ensuring operations are efficient and effective. Will have oversight of the Fleet Service Center Pool.
Identifies opportunities for improvement by monitoring performance metrics. Identifies issues and recommends and implements solutions.
Lead for quarterly and annual assessments and reporting. Will be the key point of contact with the Department of Energy and General Services Administration.
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication, relationship management, and customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing to work as a team member and work cross-functionally across the Lab.
Must have a high level of initiative and demonstrate skills as a proactive problem solver and be able to interact positively with all levels of staff in the execution of job responsibilities.
Experience with interpreting and deploying government regulations.
Knowledge of Federal Property Management & Fleet Management Regulations.
Experience working with the Department of Energy.
