This position is a rotational assignment responsible for providing contractual or business and financial support to a variety of departments within Business Services Directorate (BSD) as prescribed by the Manager of Business Development and Analysis to fulfill a developmental training program for staff merging into permanent positions within BSD. Duties will vary with the specific assignment; however, the following is a representative list of responsibilities:
Supporting day-to-day operations in accounting, budgeting and analysis
Account reconciliations and problem analysis/resolution
Performs basic and complex financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
Project proposal preparation which could include cost estimate preparation or review
Responsible for adherence to and communication of business policies and procedures
Preparation of both periodic and ad-hoc financial reports for both internal and external customers
Troubleshooting one-of-a-kind problems and developing process improvements
Adept at learning and applying skills in various business, financial systems and tools
Supporting day-to-day operations in acquisitions of goods or service and sales contracting
Planning and development of Requests for Proposals (RFP)
RFP evaluation, negotiation, award and administration of resulting contracts
Responsible for securing the best balance of price, quality, delivery and services available
Responsible for adherence to and communication of contractual policies, guidelines procedures and regulations
Works with various internal customers as well as contractors and sponsors
Adept at learning and applying skills in contractual systems and tools
- Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business field
Strong analytical and communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word is desired
