Job Description

Carry out research on the modelling and controller design for car powertrain systems as specified in the project proposal. In specific, it is required to:

1)Develop integrated models for power train in line with the use of external traffic conditions;

2)Develop optimization and operational control strategies that minimize energy savings for the concerned vehicles;

3)Establish simulation suite for the testing of modelling, optimization and control strategies for powertrain systems subjected to constraints from after treatment systems.


Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have received a PhD within the past five years (60 months) or within the next 8 months from an accredited college or university.


Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have a PhD in mechanical and control engineering with sound knowledge in modelling, optimization and controller designs for nonlinear systems. Experience on modelling and controller design for mechanical and automotive systems would be an advantage.

3.75 GPA or higher is preferred. PhD Degree in mechanical and control engineering.
